Material Introduction: LLDPE Formosa Plastics 3224 is linear low‑density polyethylene. Favored for excellent heat‑sealing property, good extensibility and processability, it is mainly used for blown‑film products.

Blown‑Film Processing

For mainstream blown‑film extrusion, temperature, pressure and other parameters shall be optimized according to equipment, film thickness and performance requirements.

‑ Processing Temperature: General LLDPE blown‑film temperature range 150‑210 ℃. Fine‑tune according to MFR (2.0 g/10min for this grade) and actual equipment. ‑ Screw Design: LLDPE features low shear sensitivity and maintains higher viscosity under shear, slightly harder to process than LDPE of identical MFR. Slightly higher melt temperature and pressure for extruder are required. ‑ Bubble Stability: LLDPE blown‑film bubble stability is inferior to LDPE. Dual‑lip air ring is recommended to improve cooling and bubble stability. ‑ Blending for better processability: Many film producers blend LLDPE with LDPE (e.g. 50 % each) to optimize processability and raise output capacity.
